We've all heard the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words" - but what about the words of poetry?
Poetry - a form of telling stories and expressing emotions in a way that novels and articles alone cannot. What about photographs and paintings - a form of telling tales and transporting us into realms that could not exist in this world.
What of articles, stories, and novels - yes, they also play with imagery and allow us to enter worlds that would not exist in this one; however, they lack the poetic experience that moves our souls and allows us to truly feel the essence of transportation.
Now, I beg the question - is poetry parallel to images? From my perspective, yes, poetry and images are parallel, different, but parallel. Poetry evokes emotions in the same way that images do. They both transcend the level of stories and novels as they have their unique way of expression, completely above the ways of normal writing, devoid of the level of poetry.
To conclude this article, I aim for you to philosophize on this concept and question - is poetry truly parallel to images?
